Hosting (also known as Web site hosting, Web hosting or Webhosting) is the business of housing, serving, and maintaining files for one or more Web sites.
More important than the computer space that is provided for Web site files is the fast connection to the Internet. Most hosting services offer connections on T-carrier system lines.
Typically, an individual business hosting its own site would require a similar connection and it would be expensive. Using a hosting service lets many companies share the cost of a fast Internet connection for serving files.
A Blog (short for Web-Log) is a system allowing anyone, regardless of skill, to be in control of their websites' content.
Websites use Blogs to keep a chronological diary (log) of events, discussions, news or anything you can imagine. A Blog can include media like graphics or video.
Some websites use Blogs as a Content Management System, allowing the user to add pages and content to their website as they choose. This is where a blog is valuable. It does not have to 'look' like a Blog but can integrate seamlessly into a current website allowing the website owner to be his own webmaster, without having to know code.
